Tim Latham

Founder of Unretired

Tim’s background lies in The Royal Air Force, Shell (UK) & PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Originally an engineer by degree, his early career was as an RAF officer, being promoted to Squadron Leader very early at age 27. Following the RAF, Tim returned to university to take an MBA before joining a subsidiary of Shell (UK) to lead marketing, he then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers management consultancy.

Tim holds a BSc in Engineering from Bristol University, an MBA from Bath University, is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts & amongst many professional programmes he attended an international executive programme at Harvard Business School.

Why Tim founded Unretired

Whilst working in PricewaterhouseCoopers, Tim was lucky enough to take part in the embryonic “Partner Survival Programme” which was a really high quality two-day programme addressing health & wellbeing in a pressurised professional environment.

As Tim entered the latter half of his 50s  he wondered whether anything was available for executives moving towards retirement that addressed health & wellbeing at a similar level of rigour & quality to what he’d experienced in PricewaterhouseCoopers. Not finding anything suitable he decided to scour the UK (& further afield) to put together the team that could deliver the definitive retirement preparation programme.
